Erasmus+ projects
With the support of the European Union's Erasmus+ program, Dansverkstæðið has carried out the study and training projects ON THE MOVE 2023 - 24, TOOLBOX 2024 and MOMENTUM 2024 - 25. The aim of the projects is to increase the access of performing artists to adult education and continuing education abroad. The projects aim to increase knowledge that cannot be obtained in this country, build networks, develop practices and add to the experience base.
ON THE MOVE
In the ON THE MOVE project, 13 participants traveled to 9 countries/institutions, either for courses or “job shadowing.” Course topics included performing arts for children and youth, improvisational methods in dance teaching, and cultural management and production.
TOOLBOX
In the TOOLBOX project, 33 participants traveled to 17 countries/institutions for courses and job shadowing. Topics of the courses included historical preservation of dance and performing arts works, dance dramaturgy, methods, styles and tools in dance teaching, and methods for creating dance works.
MOMENTUM
In the MOMENTUM project, 18 participants traveled to 7 countries/institutions. Course topics included different teaching methods and techniques in dance, increased knowledge of the production processes of performing arts, and career development in production and the operation of cultural institutions.
