Guest artists at Dansverkstæðið enjoy working facilities and professional support for their research and creative work. Up to five artists/art groups are selected for collaboration in the spring semester and another group in the fall semester. This means that up to ten parties have the opportunity to collaborate within this framework annually.

With this project, Dansverkstæðið supports the original creation of dance artists living and working in Iceland and strengthens the core that builds the dance community in this country. Access to workspace, professional dialogue and encouragement creates important security and stability in the working environment of dance artists.

Studio 3

Artists with projects that do not require traditional rehearsal spaces can apply for the Studio 3 project. The artist will then receive facilities in Dansverkstæðið's smallest studio, Studio 3, and a professional dialogue. The projects can be of various types, but an engagement with the dance community is an advantage.
