Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dansverkstæðið, ensuring smooth and efficient management.

• Plan and develop activities, including events, collaborations, and dance festivals.

• Manage financial operations, fundraising efforts, and budget planning in collaboration with the Board.

• Build and maintain relationships with artists, sponsors, and other key stakeholders.

• Lead the promotion and marketing of initiatives and events.

• Ensure that Dansverkstæðið continues to be a dynamic, supportive, and creative platform for contemporary dance in Iceland.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in management and operations within the cultural or arts sector is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead ambitious projects from concept to execution.

• Knowledge of performing arts, with a particular interest in contemporary dance.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster international partnerships.

• Experience in financial management and budget planning.

• Creative thinking and a passion for exploring new opportunities for dance in Iceland.
